Re: MP 0.39 : write BMP or PDF in Black & White
I can confirm that it does happen for bitmaps. I was trying to batch convert some BMP images (reducing color depth) and they all resulted in grayscale. At first I thought it was an error in the batch convert but then I saw that it happened only when saving BMP images, not with JPG images. While I wa...

MP 0.39 Win: Selection bug
On Windows XP, the minimum selection size is 3x3 pixels. You can't select a 2x2 region but neither a anythingx2 or 2xanything or smaller region.
Also, there's a bug when you move the selection. Every time you move the selection, its size will increase by one pixel.

Re: MP 0.38.8 Win: A few misc. bugs
A couple more possible bugs in 0.38.8: When launching XnView MP, the keyboard focus is not active on any panel. I guess keyboard focus should be initially set to the images panel. I just found that XnView.db seems to store thumbnails for folders that have been browsed before even if the folders no l...

MP 0.38.8 Win: A few misc. bugs
These are probably not necessarily bugs but I post them for reviewing. 1) If you're browsing nested folders with the mouse and you reach several folder levels so that you must use the horizontal scrollbar, when you click on a folder, the horizontal scrollbar position will be reset making browsing a ...

I second point number 2. Since the dialog is resizeable, it should at least remember the preferred size.

Re: MP 0.38.7 Win: Crash when saving images
The crash is fixed in 0.38.8. However, there's a couple of minor issues that I mention here for evaluation. If you paste an image from the clipboard, the Save as... dialog will always default to the XnView installation folder. I guess it would be better if it remembered the last used folder or perha...

[Fixed] MP 0.38.7 Win: Windows XP integration bug
I guess this is a bug on XnView MP's integration settings. XnView language defaults to Autodetect so on my system it was detected as Spanish. I activated the Browse with XnViewMP option in the integration settings. Then, as some pieces are not yet translated, I decided to switch to the normal Englis...

Request: Keyboard navigation
I love the thumbnail navigation to move around an image bigger than the XnView window, but what about a keyboard alternative to do the same thing. Currently, as of 0.38.7, both PgUp/PgDwn and Left/Right are used to move between images, leaving Up/Down with apparently no function in the Image tabs. H...

[Fixed] MP 0.38.7 Win: Possible undo bug
This bug affects the thumbnail navigation. Here's how to reproduce on Windows XP: Open a big image, for example, a 1992x3000 image. Select Image > Resize... and reduce the size to, say, 1024x680. Click the 1:1 button so that the navigation thumbnail appears. Select Edit > Undo and the image will ret...

Re: Next major
I'd like to see minimal editing capabilities, like for doing annotations and such. I know the GFL lib already supports some editing capabilities.

MP 0.38.7 Win: Crash when saving images
Here's how to reproduce on Windows XP: Do a screen capture with the PrnScrn key Open XnView MP Paste the image with Ctrl+Shift+V Select Save as... and save the image XnView MP will crash, the image is saved, though The crash seems to happen only when you paste an image from the clipboard but not if ...

Re: MP 0.35 Win: Fullscreen issues
Everything seems fine in 0.38 except for one minor issue. If you select an image in the Browser tab and press F11, you will go into fullscreen mode. If you now press Alt+F4, XnView will return to windowed mode. If you double click an image in the Browser tab and then press F11, you will go into full...

Re: v.0.38 Close other tab closes current tab
Confirmed.
Also, closing the last tab doesn't close XnView even if Closing last tab closes XnView is set. I'm using Windows XP.

MP 0.35 Win: Color information bug
This is a minor bug in MP 0.35 yet I think it's an important one. If you select Show color information , XnView will display hexadecimal values under 0x10 as single digit values. So, for example, black will appear as HTML(#000). Needless to say, it can be confusing; what does HTML(#12fa) mean? is it...

MP 0.35 Win: GIF and Clipboard bugs
I was just bitten by this couple of bugs. XnView MP 0.35 on Windows XP. 1. It seems that saving as GIF doesn't work. Use PrnScr key to do a screen capture. Paste into XnView with Ctrl+Shift+V. Select Save as... and choose GIF format. Browse to any folder and save the image. The image won't be saved....
