Estimated JPG quality in browser
I know that the Infobox contains the estimated JPG quality info but I think it would be great to have this info in the browser view via another column (in browsers details view). Because (I guess) this will result in more processing time when a folder with many images is opened it would also be nice...

Compare issue (no thumbnails)
I want to use the compare function on a few images and with the filmstrip on the bottom. So in the browser I chose a folder, select a few images and press SHIFT+C. Ok, everything works fine and on the bottom I got the filmstrip with the thumbnails of that folder. But if I don't use a folder in the b...

Re: Order of columns in Browser (maybe a bug)
I would call it 'workaround' cause I've tried to move the first column with another instance of xnviewMP in another folder and it isn't possible. Any other column is movable to any position but the first.

Re: Order of columns in Browser (maybe a bug)
Ok, I just copied (overwrite) the header line in the 0.96 version with the 0.89 version and now the No column is on first position.
Nonetheless it would be good to be able to simply drag&drop the first column within the program.
thanks

Order of columns in Browser (maybe a bug)
Hi, first of all this: System: Win7 current XnViewMP version:0.96 64bit zipped (ini is in Program folder) I just updated to 0.96 comming from 0.89. I didn't copy the database & thumbnail but let the program create it's new by right clicking on the driveletter with my images and choose (recursive) so...

Categrory Filter with 'NOT' option
Hi, I would like to suggest a 'NOT' option in the category filter so I could for example list all images with the category 'PEOPLE' but NOT those that also have the category 'PETER'.
thanks
thanks

Keyword Order
Hi, in the browser view (detailed list) keywords are ordered by the time they were set. For example: nissan, car, red
Is it possible to display them in alphabetic order :car, nissan, red ?
Or can I change it in any other way?
thanks

Tagging via keyboard sortcut
As I run thru my images I wish there would be a function to write IPTC/XMP categories (or category sets) and/or keywords via keyboard shortcuts. Just like rating or color but of course with the ability to set more than just one. Imagine a Tab in the settings menu that looks like the colorlable tab. ...

Re: Batch convert seems to alter the quality even when no action is performed
Batch Convert ALWAYS have influence on the quality of the picture (JPG) cause the file will be loaded and saved again and that alone causes a recompression (loss in quality). There are only a few things that don't touch the picture (no recompress or in other words lossless): 1. Rotate in 90 degree s...

Re: Fusion Dark - change BG colours of preview and category sets
Hi Optic,
you're in the wrong section of the settings. The background you want To change is set in TOOLS -> SETTINGS -> BROWSER -> BROWSER
In the lower half there is a color tile titled 'Preview background color'

Integration of export preview into the batch process preview
Hope this title make sense:) Ok here is what I mean. Lets say I have a bunch of pictures (any fileformat) that I want to process with the batch processing (change the size to 1200x800 for example). In the preview window I can see either the original or the resized version (before/after). As output f...

Re: Rating Raw Files
I don't have LR so I don't know how LR handles XMP sidecar files but there is an option in the XNviewMP settings that writes XMP sidecar files to your RAWs. Ratings are included in the XMP files. (Tools -> Settings -> Metadata) Ich hab kein Lightroom deshalb weiß ich nicht wie dort XMP files benutzt...

Re: Settings -> Thumbnails -> Labels: Focus Distance
Well it is recorded. You can find the value (in this case 0.79m) under the tag 'Focus Distance' in the MakerNotes (exiftoolGUI told me its the tag 0x000a FocusDistance). I downloaded the photo from above and tried it with different tags with and without spaces etc but without luck. A question in gen...
