Batch convert file overwrite confirmation
When you run a batch process and set the output file path to be the same as the original file path and leave the setting for how to handle collisions to "Ask", it will ask you every single file without a way to cancel the process entirely. This is a problem when processing hundreds of files since le...

Re: Disabled cache
Folders still show up in the list when you have the cache disabled, albeit with 0 byte file sizes. right Ah okay. I prefer to have the programs I use to not keep state/history or have a way to disable it altogether (e.g. Chrome's incognito mode) though for xnview I do intend to use the ratings. I t...

Ongoing support for XP
Some of us continue to use XP with no intent of ever giving it up, so it'd be cool if the 32 bit version could be run on XP after 0.84. I understand it's the QT lib that is responsible but could there be a workaround? 0.84 is "good enough", phenomenal program, some bugs here & there but tolerable. W...

Re: Ratings not being saved
Ah yes there it is, "export ratings in XMP data" and that works. So that means write the ratings to the xnview.db SQLite database. Sorry didn't understand the terms. Thanks!xnview wrote:and categories? do you export rating/color in metadata?jww wrote:Colors work but ratings work only if a color is assigned.

Re: Ratings not being saved
Colors work but ratings work only if a color is assigned.
File permissions for xnview.db are fine as the file size and timestamp duly change and the colors survive program restarts.
Bleh!

Re: Combine tool bars and pull down menus
Yep Laptop. But it's a valid concern no matter the size of your display. Thou shalt not waste screen real estate!m.Th. wrote:Let me guess: Laptop or other low resolution device??

Combine tool bars and pull down menus
Screen real estate is wasted on the title bar, pull down menus, and the tool bars. It'd be cool if it were customizable like for Firefox. It's nice with MP you can hide the title bar though I don't see why it'd ever be needed, even when not maximized. It'd also be cool if the pull down menus could b...

Batch convert cancel button
When you run a batch convert and it is finished the only button available to close the dialog is "Cancel". At that point "OK" or "Done" would be more appropriate?

Ratings not being saved
Hi, I'm trying to set image ratings but when I go look at the browser data pane -> filters and click on the different ratings I don't see anything come up. And when I go back to the images I've rated it seems it didn't save the ratings. I'm using 0.84 on XP. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I can't us...
