Re: 1.4.4: H(E)IF picture in portrait mode are displayed distorted
You're right, sorry. Can this be closed or merged to the other topic then, to reduce redundancy in the bug reports ?

Re: ithmb support in NConvert and XNview broken
I've send you some samples on a freehoster and send you the link via PM. Please inform me, when you have them so I can delete them there. The highest Resolution in the files is a JPG which can be extracted with a hex Editor and is then a "complete" jpg file including the metadata. For the rest of th...

ithmb support in NConvert and XNview broken
Hello, I've just noticed that the ithmb support in both Softwares are not working. I had not used them ever before, but currently they only produce a scrambled Picture. As some of the ithmb converters out there do not work either, I guess the format was changed meanwhile. But as others do work, I su...

Re: Thick bar sometimes appears on the side of XnView...
The topic is rather old, but yes it can be fixed.
Select the xnview.exe and choose "Properties". In "compatibility" select the option "Disable display scalling on high DPI settings".

Re: Slideshow: Check for new images
Yes, exactly. As described in the linked post, my camera can save the pictures to the hard disk directly. So I can use the monitor for verification. Also for work this would be good. We build industrial camera based measurement devices. And a software which always displays the last picture which has...

Re: Slideshow: Check for new images
Very good option, but another additional idea. I've described it sometime ago here: View pictures added to a folder automatically So the only thing missing now is the option that the diashow is not ending after the last picture and instead waiting for new ones to arrive, with "loop" disabled offcour...

XnView crashes on DB use.
Hello, XnView crashes repeadetly when accessing the XnView.db file. At least this is my conclusion after searching for the reason why it would work sometimes and sometimes not. If I delete XnView.db I can view a single picture with the setting - Fullscreen Viewer. I have a two monitor setting, so th...

Copy to clipboard from Shell
Hello I once suggested this feature for the shell extension of XnView. Because XnView has become the main viewer / image organizing application for me I don't want to install PicaView anymore (which had this feature). So I tried to write a programm to copy a image to the clipboard (VB.Net), to add i...

View pictures added to a folder automatically
Hello To see that this would be of any use I'll try to describe what I need it for. I use a program called "Remote Camera Control" to have a Sony DSLR A700 transfer pictures directly to the harddisk. I even could take pictures from the PC with this tool, but this is not used. I wire up the DSLR and ...

No problems with the 32 Bit Version, but seems to be still 1.6.1 (downloaded the zip version) Is there a chance that the features from here http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?t=12655 get integrated ? At the moment (having made the preview size "configurable" myself) point 2 - copying the imag...

Seems the ShellExtension is a byproduct, even a very good one. So the ideas may take a while to be integrated... The firmtools Addon ist not available in x64 version, AFAIK XnView is the only x64 Context preview at the moment. For the "configurable" preview size, I "hacked" some of my liking into th...
