Re: vertical layout in preview pane without tabs (EXIF, etc.)
Just a guess: maybe none of your settings are being saved. If so, some quick things to look for: >Running as admin vs. user. Yes, but my Vista home premium is here a spezial: Every admin-command has to be confirmd. But vista doesn't ask here >Configuration file accidentally made read-only. no >More...

Re: vertical layout in preview pane without tabs (EXIF, etc.)
Thanks, Claude,
i have tried it, but that's not the solution, sorry. The entry resets to VHidePanel=2 wherever I save the XnView.ini.
Maybe it's the mistery of Bill Gates.

Re: vertical layout in preview pane without tabs (EXIF, etc.)
No, there is no there is no arrow-switch in vertical layout, only in horizontal layout. In previous versions I often worked with this arrow-switch, but now it is gone. After searching a while I found the configuration file on my Vista-Laptop in user\appdata\local\virtualstore\program files\xnview. I...

vertical layout in preview pane without tabs (EXIF, etc.)
Since i've installes version 1.96.2 the vertical layout in preview pane doesn't show any properties, exif, histogram etc. I have tried every layout in the view menu. My favorite here is the 7th layout, but without vertical layout... I have installed and deinstalled several other programs, so maybe i...

Re: batch rename failes sometimes with EXIF date taken
Hello Pierre,
I use the latest version of XnView (1.96.2 Jul 2 2009). I will send 2 pictures by eMail, the first with the problem, the second without.

Re: batch rename failes sometimes with EXIF date taken
Sorry,
I've forgotten:
The batch-renaming was possible with Amok Exif Sorter without any problem.

batch rename failes sometimes with EXIF date taken
:?: I have shot several pics with my Lumix FZ30. When I tried to batch rename them it failed for the first 100 pics or so. It appeared nothing in the filename. The other pics were ok. XnView could read the complete EXIF-Tags from all the fotos, but didn't use them for file-renaming in all cases. I g...

New image format
Hello Pierre,
Yes, please add the new pspimage format. I am really missing it, especially to view it including all layers.
I would like to use xn-view instead of the built-in Browser.
Except for this, XN-View maybe the best picture-browser, I know.
