Re: Thumbs Don't Actually Seem to Save
Do you have the problem in a folder with only image files?? Not that I've seen. I will keep looking just in case - there are a lot of folders to look through and I haven't checked nearly all of them - but so far, I've only encountered it on folders with both images and video. It's not all thumbs in...

Re: Thumbs Don't Actually Seem to Save
the thumbs regenerated are only for videos?? No, the thumbs are being regenerated for both images and video. Well, at least I am sure about the images. I am not absolutely sure about the video to be honest - when video thumbnailing works so unreliably in XnView (both classic and MP), it's hard to t...

Re: Thumbs Don't Actually Seem to Save
Or possibly the new database format in MP is just not robust enough. All I know so far is that:
1. Doesn't happen with classic, only MP.
2. So far, have only seen it on folders with both video and image files. Haven't yet seen it on a folder that contains images only.

Re: Thumbs Don't Actually Seem to Save
Close MP before saving and see if that helps. If you don't mind me asking, how exactly do you mean? My only theory at the moment - which I haven't tested - is that MP does not like video and images files in the same folder. XnView has long had issues with thumbnailing video files, and I need to tes...

Re: Thumbs Don't Actually Seem to Save
Hi,
Enable thumbnails is checked, and maximum size is un-checked, so that seems ok. As I say, most of the thumbs have saved, it is just that MP seems to forget that the folder it is reading from was already thumbnailed and goes through and thumbs it again.
Thanks.

Thumbs Don't Actually Seem to Save
Has anyone encountered a problem where the thumbnails generated by MP don't seem to save? I have a lot of files thumbnailed, and quite often when I click onto a folder in MP which was previously thumbnailed, I scroll down the list of files only to find that MP is generating them as I scroll. I don't...

Re: XnView does not show Thumbnails for MP4, AVI and FLV fil
I had the same problem only last night. Your problem might not be the same root cause as on my system, but I fixed it by installing the XnView FFmpeg plugin: http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?t=13577 For whatever reason, the plugin is not listed on the XnView addon's download page, and hasn'...

Size of Overlay Icons
Hi, It would be nice if MP could include an option to resize the thumbnail overlay icons - I find them way too small to see (1920x1200 desktop resolution). Here's a good example - the Ratings overlay on one of the MP graphic files: http://i.imgur.com/rnDLeQc.png As you can see, very tiny and difficu...

Re: XnViewMP on windows-8
On my new windows-8 (64 bit) computer also file-association doesn't seem to work, That is likely due to to the changes to the file associations in Win 8: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/hh848047%28v=vs.85%29.aspx Apps are no longer able to programmatically set themselves as ...

Request for Scrolling Support and Delete Button
Hi,
It would be nice if the browser view would support scrolling:
http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=23018
And if the 'file already exists' dialog could be given a delete button:
http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=23125
Thanks.

Fullscreen Problem
Hi everyone, Was wondering if anyone else had seen this behaviour. When I double click an image, XnView opens up and displays it. It is displayed in an XnView window (with the toolbars and menus showing), and I then can hit F11 to go into Fullscreen. Once I do, I can hit ESC to totally close the XnV...

Re: Instant Crash of XnView with Fullscreen and this Image
Confirm fixed in v1.98.2. Happily, the other change (http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=22917) did not have to be reverted either (so it still works too).
Thanks Pierre

Re: Instant Crash of XnView with Fullscreen and this Image
Ok, I removed the tick from the Show Information option in Tools-->Options-->View-->Fullscreen, and then opened each file. All four images open without crashing XnView, even when I then use the mousewheel (which I haven't changed from the default, so this zooms in and out on the images). The result ...
