In fact I looked in the Ubuntu software center ("Logithèque Ubuntu"), and discovered that when searching for "ExifTool", I could see that the ExifTool library was indeed installed ("libimage-exiftool-perl"), but not the "libimage-info-perl". Thus did I install it.
