Re: FFmpeg & xnview
Folks with another ffmpeg.exe build already on their computer ought to remember it can be substituted for one found in add-on. It is a few years old.

Re: Idea: 'Basic' and 'Expanded' settings
I prefer the naming of 'Expanded' better than using 'Advanced' as the name, since I think 'Advanced' gives users an impression of over-complication even before they have explored the particular settings area. So the name 'Expanded' might be better to use initially. I think it is great to use expand...

Would a moderator (and/or volunteer) help revise and takeover this topic?

Re: XnView on Ubuntu 11.10
It could be little known among beginners that programs can be run from a regular /home/user/whatever directory on linux. This is a convenient way to test a beta before venturing into installation. - Extract tgz archive into a directory of your choice. This can be done with archive managers including...

Re: Usability: Toolbar consistent in all modes
And I like looking for the most high gain, simplistic low-effort points. So I hope such abbreviated posts aren't mistaken for lack of interest. Concerning the typing of users. Single-mode particularly, (browser-only and viewer-only). I think focussing on them would be contrary to what is already fou...

Multipage information text
Please consider the idea of a multipage indicator for information text.
Similar to what was done with tagged files. Tag: <Tag status>. It would be more subtle than a special dialog and suitable for animated images too.

Re: Is multipage TIFF creation actually working?
There are many 'do not show again' dialogs which will need to be reset by hand (renaming ini, recreating new settings). Including one about multipage. A better sort of indicator would be useful here, IMO.

Re: Usability: Toolbar consistent in all modes
After firing up program with defaults, here is the illustration of my initial reaction posted above. Made with no regard to changing order. Only removing items from new v.1.98.7. http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/286/gutbar.png And made with no regard to what was on my desktop at the time, any conc...

Re: What's different in XnView MP [Full List]
The version number indicates an approximate completion percentage? Correct me if I'm wrong.
For me, it is not ready as a simple viewer (cf. 1).

If I use search function in View mode and press <Browse> on results, the view does not switch to browser results. It remains in View mode.
