Low default resolution for EPS/PS/AI/PDF

Post by helmut »

In combination with Ghostscript XnView is able to read vector files like Encapsulated Post Script (EPS), Postscript (PS), Adobe Illustrator (AI), and Portable Document Format (PDF), see FAQ 'How to display vector formats like PDF, AI,...? GhostScript!' for more details.

The default resolution in XnView 2.0 (and before) for vector files is 72 dpi. This i which is a bit low, I think. Sure enough, one can change this in the options, but I'd suggest a default resolution of at least 150 dpi or even 300dpi.

Higher resolution might prevent new users being confused by the likely low quality and thinking that the function is useless.

The 72 dpi value is the Ghostscript default, apparently, but a higher value like 300 dpi would seem better for general use.
