the bevels are gone in 2.24. but i notice there is still the 1 px outline inside the panes--which is kind of like a 1 px bevel. can that be removed, too?

screenshots with 2x zoom. in the second screenshot, i filled the outlines with color to highlight them. my interface is customized dark, but with the default white interface they look like dark outlines for each pane.

these outlines surround the interior of each pane--like a thin bevel. can they be removed?

i just upgraded from 2.32 to 2.35 and i noticed the improvements mentioned in this topic has been undone. why?! please restore the improvements to remove the bevel edges in the panes, or give us an option!

after checking the changelog for 2.34, it turns out this change was made intentionally after a different user complained of black contours...
http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=31554

which was actually something i had already pointed out, but it was never addressed...
http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.p ... 15#p122334

the proper way to fix this is to remove both the bevel edges AND black contours, to give us a truly flat minimal look--which is what i have been requesting.

i really don't like the current bringing back of the bevel edges, especially since it looks bad [like visual junk] against a black theme background, as seen in my original post...
http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=28032

please fix or at least give us a setting to customize.

gosh darn it, i want this option to achieve a cleaner modern look and to get some extra screen space! can you at least give us an option to remove those ugly bevel edges around the panes? we're not on Windows 98 anymore!
