working with ACDSee since years I now (try to) move to XnView. I use that CTRL-D "Set comment" feature often but only to write into descript.ion file - NOT to update "Embedded comment" in e.g. the JPEG file - I want to keep my files untouched !
I use XnView in Fullscreen mode, starting with "Fullscreen - Browser" to be able to jump to next sub-folder (a really nice feature), a pity its only available when starting with "Fullscreen - Browser" (why ??)
OK, CTRL-D, writing comment, unchecking "Embedded comment", save works OK, but everytime I have to uncheck "Embedded comment" is not ideal
So is there a way to simply disable that checked "Embedded comment" ?
In the XnView.ini I found:

UseSame=0
Is there maybe a (hidden) config entry that I could set ?
Then I changed XnView to start with "Fullscreen - Edit" and here, pressing CTRL-D I don't get "Set comment" dialog, I get "Edit description" dialog - strange. OK, this dialog is exactly what I need, I can only edit the descript.ion information. BUT using XnView with "Fullscreen - Edit" I cannot jump to next sub-folder -
Is there a way to use XnView in "Fullscreen - Browser" mode, with jump to next sub-folder AND with this "Edit description" dialog as well ? That would be really great
