Slide show creating takes too long

More accurately time between selecting the files, pressing Ctrl+L and opening the Slide show dialog, 20 GB about 20 minutes (but 1GB only 8 seconds, strange). It's too much, XnView is not responding all that time!

I want to create a random slide show with all my pictures, but I want keep it updated. The only way is to update is manually, but it's very annoying, not just because of time.

There is a solution, I have suggested two features, I don't know if there is another way to improve slide show with many pictures, I think a folder support would be the best solution.
