I'm still having problems with this. I added

VideoFormat=3

To Browser Section of .ini file to look like this:

[Browser]
VHidePanel=0
VListLayout=0
VideoFrame=1
VideoFormat=3
VideoPlayBar=1
ViewColumn=255
Viewas=5

Even removed the thumbnail cache. All i can get is 1 .avi thumbnail to show up. XnviewMP works fine. I'm on win7x64 by the way

just an idea
Did You wait long enough?
because after adding videoformat = 3, my first reaction was : It's a pity ! nothing has changed !
but slowly (very slowly) Thumbnails appeared progressively
It took a long time to build all of them I don't know why (more than for jpeg)
(Moreover, I use Xnview and my feeling is that XnVIEWMP is maybe slower to build thumbnails
but just a feeling)

I waited for the new version hoping that the problem was solved but nothing has changed. I also added the string but without success. :(

At this point, someone can recommend a portable program that let me see the thumbnail of the video? Thanks

I do not like it because:
- In xnview.ini, there are the voice "RecentFiles" and "History" that showing the files seen and I have not found a way to disable them
- The program cache continues to store folders visit
- Thumbnails seem less quality Xnview
- In "Auto image size" I have enabled "fit image to windows". When I change "browser" to "viewer" with the double click on the image, for 1 sec I see the original size image showing, It is very annoying
- displays thumbnails for all video formats but not for "flv" video
- icons are ugly (but this is also a problem of Xnview), forgive me :)
- Don't know how change the font size in "filelist toolbar"

quicktime codec....no, I installed it and I'd rather not install it because I do not like it at all :)

Thanks for your help and for your fantastic products

So you would like that XnViewMP has an option to disabled history and cache?
- Thumbnails seem less quality Xnview
It's the same quality...
- displays thumbnails for all video formats but not for "flv" video
XnView Classic shows thumbnails for .ftv and not XnViewMP?? Do you have AddOn/ffmpeg in XnView Classic and XnViewMP?
- Don't know how change the font size in "filelist toolbar"
you means the folder tree view?

Yes, for privacy is fundamental
- Thumbnails seem less quality Xnview
It's the same quality...

I did not lose much time to set it up but it seems to me that Xnview has many more settings
- displays thumbnails for all video formats but not for "flv" video
XnView Classic shows thumbnails for .ftv and not XnViewMP?? Do you have AddOn/ffmpeg in XnView Classic and XnViewMP?

XnView Classic don't work for the 80% of video formats (for me), XnViewMP don't works only with .flv
- Don't know how change the font size in "filelist toolbar"
you means the folder tree view?

No, where it says the path to the folder you are looking
quicktime codec....no, I installed it and I'd rather not install it because I do not like it at all :)

I have installed Zoom Player with your codecs and K-Lite Codec Pack

there is a way for solve the "- In "Auto image size" I have enabled "fit image to windows". When I change "browser" to "viewer" with the double click on the image, for 1 sec I see the original size image showing, It is very annoying"?
