Some video formats not launching associated application

Post by Quaraxkad »

In the options under General>Keyboard/Mouse>Open Action (Browser), I have everything set to "Open in associated program" *except* for Images which is "Open in XnView". I have the browser set to show all file types, so it shows videos, and 99% of them have thumbnail previews since I have ffmpeg.exe in the AddOns folder. Double-clicking .TS video files should launch in my default video player, Media Player Classic, but instead it shows the error dialog saying the "Format of the file could not be determined". As a test, I changed the Open Action for Images to "Open in associated program", and with this option selected TS files do open in MPC as they should. So it seems that XnView is trying to open TS files as images even though they are videos. This has happened since at least version 2.11 up to the current 2.34. Is there any way to force Xn to recognize certain extensions as a video?
