I am having the same problem with PDF-files. If there is a German character (ä,ü,ö,ß...) in the file name or folder name on a network drive, the file neither can be opened (no preview, "Open file" inactive on right-button menu), nor thumbnail can be created. No problems if the same file is copied to a local drive.
I have Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, XnViewMP 0.82 and GhostScript AGPL 9.19 64-bit.
Please help, if there is a solution.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in v0.83. Could you please try and confirm, User17?
