problems with artefacts in lower right corner / View + Full

First of all, thank you for your steady development and improvement of XnView. I appreciate your work!

Since the last two versions, I have an annoying bug: As soon as I zoom into a picture, I recieve an rectangular artefact in the lower right corner (fig 1). If I have been in the browser view directly before, I see tiles with thumbnails inside the artefact (fig 2). Is that an already known bug (even if I WAS searching the forum before), am I doing sth wrong (missing option, screen resolution etc?) or is anything known about hardware related causes?

Really strange, i have never seen that!!! You have it always?

yes, since the upgrade to 1.97.1 and subsequently 1.97.2 I have that always, given that I put the XnView-Window on the external screen (TFT). On the buildin monitor it does not apperar. To be honest, I cannot say if that would also happen with versions earlier than 1.97.1, but as far as I remember, it never appeared before.

That is same position occupied by the navigation proxy in XnView MP.

I could try that. Which version(s) do you want me to try, where do I get them from? (I myself usually overwrite the install files in my download folder, especially with xnview where the version IS NOT included in the filename of the setup.exe)

what do I have to do to be sure that ANY preferences/regkeys etc are deleted before isntalling the older version to test?

I tried 1.96 as well as 1.80 and yes, it happens with both versions too. Then I thought it might be a problem with my screen / driver, but an driver upgrade did not fix it. Similarily, the problem does not occur in any other program, including powerpoint and paint.net. Strange?

Did you try with a fresh xnview.ini file (with the option Tools\Options\System Integration\Save ini as option in folder= XnView) (then close XnView and restart it to see what is happend ) ?

@ oops66: Yes, I deleted xnview.ini in the program folder (I work with user accounts, and I have an Administrator account for installations etc.
--> therefore in the case of XNview, to have a single configuration file, I had to give full rights to the XnView folder to the user account)

after deletion of the .ini, I tried with 1.97.2 one more, to see if new settings would fix the issue, but after the "first start"-window appeared, it asked it's questions, and then the thing came back when magifying the picture.
Then I deleted everything, installed 1.96, same, and lastly again the same with 1.80.3 I always deleted the .ini and made sure that there is also no .ini in the user setting folders.

@ XnTriq/xnview: I have this with ANY kind of picture from varoius folders, not only jpg, also gif, png, so I doubt its an EOF error.

Which resolution for your monitor do you use?
