Hi,
I don't know of the programming obstacles for this request, but it would be nice if I could drag a viewer tab out of the XnView MP interface into another MP window or simply for 'windowless' viewing. here are my 2 explanations:
1.) Dragging tabs from XnView MP window to another XnView MP window (if the 'single instance' setting is disabled), like in web browsers.
2.) Tab tearing for 'Windowless image viewing' - http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=17914 - so by dragging a tab to any place on the desktop to open in this windowless way. It's an old idea of mine, but would be awesome to have. Probably would require that user's screen size is read first so that all images are made to fit within desktop screen size. Support for basic controls (e.g. right/left keys for next file/previous). Semi-transparent white 16x16 minimal toolbar icons+same transparent MP logo. The transparency would appear bottom-center over the windowless image for control.
