v.0.25(L) Trash can crash

Postby marsh » Thu Mar 18, 2010 6:41 pm

1. Placed single jpg in empty trash folder.
Code: Select all
/home/user/mnt/q/.Trash-1000/files

2. Launch viewer from file manager (like Thunar).
3. Press Browse button on toolbar
4. *Crash

Settings:
File list>[x]Show hidden files and folders
Only images used. All else unmarked.

Hello marsh,
I do not have this issue on Ubuntu 9.10 (from Nautilus Files manager) and XnViewMP linux 0.25.
Did you try with a fresh xnview.ini file & .db file ?
(Because I have had some conflicts and similar problems with my old .ini & db file.)

Yes, with completely new settings. This doesn't occur when I copy the ".trash" folders to a location not actually used by Debian 6.0 (testing) + Xfce4. So maybe this is desktop-specific.

Even with the trash folder location actually used by Ubuntu 9.10 (gnome) & the user, I do not have this crash
(in fact here : /home/$USER/.local/share/Trash/files)
...So maybe this is desktop-specific...
I do not know ?

Thanks for looking. A mysterious item was in home folder and was being read while leaving trash, but not when leaving other subdirectories. Moving out of a hidden folder will travel more than one level up here.
