Open with Associated Editor (F4) isn't working for me

Good day!

I've been using XnView MP for the past few days and I absolutely love it.

I am, however, having a minor issue with one of the features. Pressing F4 (" Open with Associated Editor" ) does nothing.

-> My default image Editor on windows is Photoshop (if I click "Edit" on the context menu while on the explorer, Photoshop will open the file).
-> My default image viewer is XnView MP for every image file format. (If I click " Open" on context menu or press Enter while on the explorer, XnView will open the file)

While browsing on XnView, if I press F3 it will open a new XnView window with the picture. Which is nice. But Pressing F4 does nothing at all.


What should I do to fix this?

Additional information:

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Editor: Adobe Photoshop 14.2 x64


In the mean time I am using " Alt + 1" to edit pictures with photoshop. But still, it would be nice to learn how I could fix my F4 hotkey.
