Alpha Channel and 24-bit BMP images
Is it possible to permanently turn off "Use Alpha Channel" for the View mode like there is for the Thumbnail mode? I have 24-bit BMP images with transparency that do not display the same as they do in Paint or similar image viewers. The transparency displays as grey. Ctrl+H turns it off for the session but it is turned back on when XnViewMP is closed and re-opened.
Re: Alpha Channel and 24-bit BMP images
Perhaps you can set the two colours of the checkboard pattern both to white (or any other colour) and thus achieve what you want:
Menu "Tools > Settings" | Category "View" | [x] Use checkboard pattern as background
Just an idea...
EDIT: From what I can see Paint uses the palette colour which is used as transparent colour for palette-indexed PNG files. So the background colour displayed in Paint is not fixed but depends on the opened PNG image.
