0.86: Square Image Renders as Narrow Strip

XnView: MP 0.86 - 64-bit
OS: Windows 10 Pro - 64-bit

I have found an image that XnView renders incorrectly. I cannot determine the image to be malformed in any way and Gimp, Chrome and the W10 Photos app render it correctly.

Effect: The image is shown distorted into a narrow strip although it should be square (1000x1000). Colors are distorted, too. This worsens when zooming in or out.

To reproduce:
1. Open the image. This is reproducible in XnView 64-bit and XnView MP 64-bit.

Here is what XnView MP shows me when opening the image. The color distortion on the right is a result of zooming in as I mentioned:

soup-54cb553eddea2.jpg has an X-Resolution of 72 and a Y-Resolution of 240 dpi.
Please disable Use EXIF DPI (if exists) and Adjust zoom if X/Y DPI are different (ToolsSettings...GeneralGeneral).
You also may want to turn on Use ICC color profile for monitor (slower) in ToolsSettings...GeneralICC.

I took another look according to your reply and the "Adjust zoom if X/Y DPI are different" setting did the trick.
I really should've figured this out on my own or stripped the image of those obvious lines of problematic EXIF metadata.
