XnView: MP 0.85 64 bit
OS: Windows 10 1607 - 64 bit
Weird handling of the event of dragging a folder on itself (aborting the action) in the File List
Effect: Unexpected and unintuitive behaviour
To reproduce:
1. Select Detail view for the File List.
2. Drag any folder from the File List.
3. Drop it on itself because you are aborting whatever you were doing (either moving/copying it or custom order).
Actual behaviour (bug): The folder is moved on itself. I mean if you originally had Folder with File1 and File2 as its contents, now you end with Folder which contains another Folder, and this child Folder contains File1 and File2.
More over you even get a conflict message because XnView cannot delete the upper parent Folder...
XnView is just following the logic you must use in order to move Folder to AnotherFolder.
Expected behaviour: Nothing should happen. More over, you get the correct "forbidden" icon in either Thumbnail view or in the Folder Tree. (Remember that Drag and Drop is broken in List view)

Re: 0.85: Moving a folder on itself in Detail View.
I can confirm. In most views you get a "Forbidden" cursor but in "Detail view" and "Thumbnails + Details" you can drag&drop with the observed (wrong) behaviour.

O.k., thank you, I can also reproduce the problem. Issue 1258 is fixed in next version.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 0.87. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

Re: 0.85: Moving a folder on itself in Detail View.
Tested in 0.87 beta 1, fixed.
A folder cannot be dragged on itself anymore in Thumbs and details and in Details. A Forbidden icon appears in place of the mouse.
