Hi,

I'm an occasional user of XnViewMP, and I have the same bug on my box.
Every time I try to delete a directory from the tree view, the program "segfault" before doing the job, so the delete command doesn't do anything at the end.
What I tried :
  • I checked that the deleted directory isn"t the directory from which the program is run (obvious)
  • The crash happens on local FS (ext4)
  • The crash happens on remote FS (samba)
  • The have always the latest XnViewMP version, it's been years that the bug is here, at least on my box (but before today I was too lasy to create an account  )
My config :
  • Gentoo Linux x64
  • XnViewMP 0.69 x64
  • I own (as a unix user) the files I want to delete, therefore it shouldn't be a permission issue
I only recently reinstalled my box, I was formely on Gentoo x32, with the x32 version of XnViewMP, with the same bug.

I don't know if there is a debug-mode, the standard output doesn't give any clue about what would be the issue with the directory deletion.
Feel free to ask some more information, I would be pleased to help getting this program better.

Hi,

The latest version (tar 64bit) doesn't even start.
-> XnView: error while loading shared libraries: libpulse.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I don't have pulseaudio on my system and the requested lib isn't bundled in the tar.

Thank you for your update, amurphy7701.

This topic is about the crash when deleting a directory in the treev view.

For the failing program start I've just created a new bug report, see http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=35101
