Support for 3rd-party shell thumbnail handler extensions

Post by XnTriq »

The PDF-XChange shell extention generates thumbnails of PDF files for Windows Explorer.
XnView's browser displays these thumbnails, but the preview and the viewer don't.

Preview on the left, browser on the right (IconHeight & IconWidth = 900):

if format is not recognized, 3rd party shell thumbnail extension must be used... Perhaps a problem with only pdf extension...

Could you use shell thumbnail handlers as “import filters” for XnView's viewer or have the shell thumbnail handlers pass their thumbnails on to XnView's viewer?
Is there a way to make XnView use thumbnails generated by PDF-XChange and FontNail for contact sheets or HTML galleries?
