Sounds as if you don't have the access rights to access the executable file "nconvert.exe" or one of the image files.vvvnsk wrote:Please help me with that problem.

What does the error message say exactly?
same problem of access
I got the same problem. When i am a simple user on XP, i can't run nconvert, but i can when i am an admin.
Is there a solution to run nconvert with simple user's rights?

Strange, you have no message from NConvert?mathieu wrote:I got the same problem. When i am a simple user on XP, i can't run nconvert, but i can when i am an admin.

Pierre.
The error message "Access is denied" is not triggered by nconvert, it is an error message of Windows XP and means that you do not have the right/permission to access the file.mathieu wrote:Yes, i got some.
When i run nconvert from cmd.exe, i get : "acces is denied".
When i run from explorer, I get ; "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item"
I assume that you use Windows XP Professional (not Home). Login as admin, then browse to the folder that contains "nconvert.exe" using MS Explorer, open the properties dialog (right mouse click, the menu item "Properties") and set the access rights to "All" or "Others" (or something like this). Login as normal user, again. Starting nconvert should work then.
