Deluxe is dead. Hourra for XnView!

Post by xnview »

The develoment, distribution and selling is stopped for Deluxe version since 1st january.
Too many big competitors like Adobe Album, .... on the retail market.

So i'll take some great features of Deluxe and put them in XnView.

If you want a Deluxe feature, please post your request here.

What do you think about Deluxe toolbar, and Deluxe XnView logo?
Pierre.

Pierre, I hope that this decision won't hurt your finances too much!

Is it possible to set up some kind of voluntarily free version registration for amout like 10 EUR?

Is there a place where we could download trials of XnView Deluxe and XnPhoto without registering in Xzeos?

And great THANKS TO YOU.

I’m sorry that Deluxe didn't pan out. :( But to be honest, I am very pleased about this. :D Next step will be open source under GNU license. I can only dream...

XNVdeluxe really doesn't have much more than normal XNV (especially the 1.8x+ ones), that's probably why it doesn't sell well. I think the fact that the 2 are available from 2 sperate sites also adds to the problem, it makes it look like they're competitors or that one is merely a rip of the other one. (I know that the first time I heard of XNVdeluxe, I thought someone had stolen the code for the freeware one and started selling it as their own.)

There are lots to lend from Deluxe I think

But for me the preference is clean up and changes in existing features.

Before XnView 1.82 goes Final can we have ALL the toolbar skins from XnView Deluxe included?

If the file size is too big, make a seperate toolbar skins pack!

Same feelings...

Maybe I could make a list of deluxe features in this topic, please use clear terms and maybe another color (blue?), so I could just copy your requests there. I'll use bold font for deluxe requests, so please check that list first. Thanks.

Edit: Or I could start a new post there with 'deluxe' requests only. What do you think?
