Hi there,
I have photos tagged and when I view that category only some of them (around 20%) are visible, all the rest just display the filename.
I can't even double click them or right click and open in explorer. The ones with the thumbnails work fine though!

I'm not sure what you mean by "Base Pathname"?
If you mean the option "Base path of your pictures" then yes, I have that filled out to the top level/parent folder where underneath all my photos are stored.

Is it always the same pictures with no thumbnail?
Is it a DB filled with previous version? There is a big change with 'base path' & DB

No, a picture can be tagged with three tags, it may show in one category but not the others.
I've also went and deleted the cache .db file and xnview user directory and rebuilt it and it again failed pictures (different ones again). I can't quite seem to be able to find a clue/reproducible pattern for you.
