IPTC XMP does not work on TIFF images

High XnView Team,
I'm new in this forum and first of all I want to send my congratulations on the excellent features of XnView to all contributors.
I want to use IPTC and XMP priminarly to manage pictures. For this I want to ask for help for the following issues:

1)
So far I have got familiar with the IPTC features for the jpg data files. Unfortunately at my installation I cannot use IPTC with Tiff files. After entering IPTC data and using the write button the data are no more available. I remember that I was able to enter and store IPTC data at a XnView installation at a friend of mine. What could be the reason for the IPTC/Tiff isue at my installation (1.97.8 Sep 20 2010).

2)
For me it would be very helpfull to have predefined keywords and categories. In the IPTC menue I can see fields to select predefined keywords and even a button called "Load keywords". How can I define standard keywords and categories that will be selectable from a list in the IPTC keywords and category folders. How can I define a file containing keywords that will be loadable with the "Load keywords" button.

You can edit the IPTC.def in folder where XnView save settings...

thank you for your response.
Here is a tiff-image with some IPTC data, which have been entered using xnview at a PC of a colleague. This colleague told me that on his PC suddenly IPTC also does not work any more with tiff-images.

I hope I succeeded in adding the tiff image - (sorry I am not an experienced user of forums).

Sorry, the tiff was not transfered... You can use service like yousendit

ok, i have it.
So you edit IPTC, and in the browser you have no IPTC tab??

On the PC currently in use - After editing IPTC data and clicking the write button, the IPTC data are no more visible and no IPTC tab appears. See also 1) at my original posting. IPTC data have been entered on a different PC using xnview after scanning the images. This data seem to be available anywhere under cover as I can identify this IPTC data using PhotoShop!?

Dear Pierre,
I've done some more investigation on IPTC data with tif-format:
- Edited all fields of all folders of the IPTC data dialog of a tif-image.
- Pressed the write button with selection "overwrite existing values"
- afterwards no IPTC date where visible with xnview.
- with the tool "EXIF-Browser" included in the Imabas tool all IPTC data previously entered using xnview could be seen.

May be this could help you to identify my problem

Ok, i've found. The IPTC data are correctly written, but not correctly readed...
