When comparing two non-images files, the compare dialog is opened with two empty areas. I think for non-images files, just a beep should be heard and compare dialog should not open.

Maybe a visual indication would also be good (eg. status bar text) since not everyone has sound enabled.

In RC7, the compare dialog does not open and a beep can be heard.

There's no visual confirmation, so I'm moving this one to postponed. (Think this should be discussed, I find messageboxes not so nice, but perhaps important for novice users).

What about rename "Compare..." to "Compare Images..." or "Compare Pictures..." ?
