is there a way to speed up startup?

Hi
i have xnview and when it startup it opens my fav folders with 3000 photos

i selected in the option ->browser->thumbnails->cache->lossy low quality

the cache size is around 21mb
i tried to optimaze
but it become slow to load

thumbs size are 257x241
it become slow adding photos

what the delay to start?
the problem is that XnView loads all thumbnails in memory before to show folder...
