0.85b2: "Maximum of view tabs" option is ignored sometimes

XnView: MP 0.85 beta 2 - 64-bit and MP 0.84 - 64-bit
OS: Windows 10 - 64-bit

Effect: Multiple view tabs are opened.

To reproduce:
1. Settings (F12) > Interface > Tabs > Maximum of view tabs > set to "1"
2. Select image 1
3. Click the "Open" toolbar button
4. Click the "Browse" toolbar button
5. Select image 2
6. Click the "Open" toolbar button
Actual behaviour (bug): Second view tab is opened

This way it's possible to open any number of tabs with images or videos.

Expected behaviour: Only one view tab should be opened.

It works good when using double click/middle click mouse buttons or Enter to switch views.

i don't remember if it's a normal behavior. 'Maximum of view tabs' should be used by 'open' too??

Hm.. I'm not sure now. I had many tabs opened because of other bugs, I couldn't switch to viewer with middle click and click the preview/fullscreen with video, so I had to use the Open button. When these other bugs will be fixed, perhaps the Open button will be not so important. Anyway, I' not sure..

If in doubt a look how XnView Classic behaves might give an answer. This shouldn't mean that XnView Classic works 100% properly in all cases but it can give some hint/orientation.

In XnView Classic there's one similar option "Only one window view opened" and there is just one view, no multiple tabs, when using Open.

Anyway, option to open multiple tabs might be useful sometimes. Current behavior is not bad, but it's not very intuitive. For example, web browsers have the option "Open in new tab"... OK, I will create a new topic.

O.k., thank you, I can also reproduce the problem. Issue 1262 is fixed in next version.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 0.87. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.
