0.85b4: Custom order - minor sorting issue in Details view

XnView: MP 0.84 - 64 bit and 0.85 beta 4 64 bit
OS: Windows 10 - 64bit

To reproduce:
1. Sort items by Name
2. Switch to Details view
3. Drag any file(s) in the middle of the list, to make a custom order
4. You can double click the parent folder to go up and then go back to previous folder
5. Click the Sort by sub-button ([v])
Actual behaviour (bug): There's a sign next to the Name, so it looks the items are sorted by name, but custom sorting is active (correctly in the Sort by context menu).

Expected behaviour: Sign next to the Name should be removed if custom order is activated.

Yes, I can confirm the issue.

You don't even need to exit and re-enter that folder. When you create a custom order the "v" or "^" symbol is maintained in the original column although the file list is not sorted by that column anymore.

See the attached image where you can see the "^" icon on Name column heading but the list actually has a custom order.

Right, it was just to show that changing folder doesn't fix it. So the step 4 is not needed.

I've just retested with 0.86 and the problem is there (at least on W10).

Look at the attached screenshot. (The first file is out of alphabetic order but you can see the "^" sign in Name column heading).

It doesn't matter if I exit and re-enter that folder. The bug is there.

But if I press F5, the bug is gone. I mean the "^" disappears from the Name column heading.

Yes, that's it. The interface is telling the user a Name sorting is active when in fact there's a custom order. Name sorting (or whichever other one) is not active any more.

More over, a F5 refresh does actually solve it.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 0.87. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.
