Feature Request: Options to quickly toggle the Checkerboard Background

There are many cases where the checkerboard background makes it impossible to view the image. (I can list multiple reasons and examples) And then there are many cases where the checkerboard background helps with viewing images with transparency more clearly. So if there was a way to quickly toggle it, it would be pretty handy.

Right now you must go to Tools --> Options --> View --> Use checkerboard pattern as background

Which is far from a quick toggle.. The option to toggle the Checkerboard background is not even available in the View menu..

So I recommend:

1. Add a toggle option in View menu for the checkerboard

2. Add a new Command option so that we are able to add it in the toolbar!

Cool. You could easily add this update to XnView Classic also, but clearly you're not interested in that.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 0.99.7. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

No actually this isn't relevant to the feature request I posted.

What does Use Transparent Index have to do with the checkerboard pattern background?

Or at the very least it doesn't work. First of all, it makes no sense to why the options would only be enabled for <=8bit images.. and also.. even then it doesn't toggle the checkerboard background at all.

So no, this isn't fixed, which I'm sure you already know.

I've never used Xnview, only MP since 2012

Found it, it's only for the "View mode" (which I don't use), it's not present on "Browser mode" or under Keyboard shortcuts
