Did that, didn't make a difference.

This is still a problem in v1.7.1

I'm confused as to whether the programmer believes this is actually a problem.

Bottom line, one should not have to go into the settings for something that should be handled by the filter.

I know this is an oldish thread, but came here to say this. It's kind of infuriating when the tab is left open, and you're trying to move or delete the file that's in the open tab.

As I stated above, MP4 playback did not work in MP in slideshow.

I'm having trouble with MP4 videos and slideshow. On one machine, it works in XNView Classic, but not in MP. On another machine, I get a format error in Classic, Do not have MP installed on that machine, but also can't play MP4 just in the classic browser.

I've upgraded to the latest full version ...

Tools > Settings... > Interface > Tabs -- Maximum of view tabs change default value of 99 to one?

Maybe that option, found it eventually, would be better in the Settings... > View section

That isn't the same. I sometimes have multiple MPs open when working in different folders at the same time. Also, never had to do that before, and that option isn't set on the machine with 1.7.1, yet it works as I want it to.

I've recently switched from Classic to MP, and finding some of the features I'm used to is ... difficult.

But recently, I'm unable to find a feature that I thought existed.

In MP 1.7.1 on one machine, only one viewer tab is opened, no matter how many different images I open. That's the way I want ...

Up until now I had been exclusively using classic XNView, which does ask when copying. This post is 4 years old, are there any plans to add this functionality? Without it, MP is not nearly as useful for file operations.

Option 3 was the only one that worked for me. And for some reason, I had to re-activate my license.

Anyway, you've saved me a lot of headache!

I don't do anything directly with Affinity Photo files in XnView except to browse and use Alt+1 to launch them in Photo. While Photo 2 properly launches and loads files from XnView

Sorry for jumping in, but maybe the poster is asking if there is an XNView classic for Android? The only mobile apps I see are camera and and editing. I would love to see XNView classic on Android with all of the same features as PC. The ability to make multimedia slideshows would be awesome.

I would also like to see support for H264 MP4 video. It's the default format for my Android phone video, and I suspect most other phones.

Anyone else like this suggestion?
