Re: A few problems with XNView on Win 7
I always had similar problems running XnView with user rights on Windows XP and setting" Use .ini files in program folder for configuration" (single user setup?) instead of using config files in every users personal folders. When I changed something, it would just be like before when i reopend the ...

Re: problems with artefacts in lower right corner / View + Full
sorry for being away so long. I had to prepare a scientific poster which actually took my full worktime during the last week. interestingly, during this process, I found out, that when rotating the external monitor by 90° ( so that I could easily fit a portrait poster in it) NO artefacts in any of ...

Re: problems with artefacts in lower right corner / View + Full
yes, only on the second monitor, both in browserview and fullscreen view. but no other program shows this behaviour. strange? thats what I thought too.
I will try one more thing later. I have a second windows installed on partition D:\, I will test the behaviour on this one.

Re: problems with artefacts in lower right corner / View + Full
Interesting, I checked the same place where I checked before. While the first try it was written: "Dual screen, use second monitor (browser only)" and the fullscreen showed on the laptop's internal LCD even when I opened the browser on the second screen, NOW, one minute later, I have "Dual screen ...

Re: problems with artefacts in lower right corner / View + Full
well, the fullscreen-view only appears on the build-in LCD (here of course without the artefacts), i tried to change it in the options, but there is only an option to have the browser (but not fullscreen) on the second screen?

Re: problems with artefacts in lower right corner / View + Full
@ oops66: Yes, I deleted xnview.ini in the program folder (I work with user accounts, and I have an Administrator account for installations etc.
--> therefore in the case of XNview, to have a single configuration file, I had to give full rights to the XnView folder to the user account)

Re: problems with artefacts in lower right corner / View + Full
I tried 1.96 as well as 1.80 and yes, it happens with both versions too. Then I thought it might be a problem with my screen / driver, but an driver upgrade did not fix it. Similarily, the problem does not occur in any other program, including powerpoint and paint.net. Strange?

Re: problems with artefacts in lower right corner / View + Full
I could try that. Which version(s) do you want me to try, where do I get them from? (I myself usually overwrite the install files in my download folder, especially with xnview where the version IS NOT included in the filename of the setup.exe)

Re: problems with artefacts in lower right corner / View + Full
yes, since the upgrade to 1.97.1 and subsequently 1.97.2 I have that always, given that I put the XnView-Window on the external screen (TFT). On the buildin monitor it does not apperar. To be honest, I cannot say if that would also happen with versions earlier than 1.97.1, but as far as I remember ...
