The code of user0 looks fine; maybe he want's to make an exe or a plugin from it ? Or Pierre integrates it?

here is a rather simple example - 5 colours and a red area big enough to see. But in reality it could be a little bit more difficult, but similar to this.
So - where is the red colour?

I'm working on CAD drawings, using coloured areas. And sometimes there is the condition like this:

"when everything is OK there should be no red area in the output"

I can not check it on CAD site, because the "output" is a printed result of overlaying different information. So my idea is to ...

I always had the idea (the illusion?) that TIFF is lossles. But is it correct that a JPEG compression result in a JPEG, in the package of a TIFF?

I don't have a deep understanding of file-formats and compressions and so on, but usually I have the experience with LZW and CCITT:
"Uncompressed TIF has high file size, compression reduces it down to 70-5% file size"

But now I got an uncompressed TIFF (6400 * 4800 pix, 16.400 colors) where I used ...

I changed the settings and now it's OK!

I got a TIFF-file - a snippet is attached - where the metadata-word "Getreidemühle" is displayed both correct (tab ExifTool and IPTC/XMP) and wrong (statusbar, file properties). I think the file was made with a camera and modified with Lightroom and then converted to TIFF - so it is not clear where ...

When I use some "Effect - Effects", I want to reuse the last settings again - Blur, Average, ...
But every time when I start the command again, I have to search for the command and the settings.

Is there no "feature to remember last used settings" or do I miss(ed) something?

In which situation would you need this? Opening? While modifying? Creating dozens of thumbnails?

When I use "Tools - Join Images", I do a lot of "try and error": change distance, change order, change other settings. The problem is - after every creation of a new "Strip" I have to select the files again. And again. ..

So it would be great if the software wold remember the last used files - for ...
