Re: How to search in all subfolders?
First of all, I am deeply sorry for not responding earlier. For one reason or the other, your reply slipped my attention. (At the time I was facing problems synchronizing Outlook desktop with smartphone, it took many days to solve) Thanks for the below. Indeed that is a nice solution. Oh, BTW, I not...

Re: How to print with the actual sizes (W X H)
Possibly clearer dialog text for that option one of the following: Single - DPI size Single - Size from DPI Single - Actual size Agree. I wish at least "Actual Size" would be added. For now I know I should use Single DPI, but I guess "Actual Size" would have been clearer right from the start. Anywa...

How to print with the actual sizes (W X H)
I have a small image to be printed: 8.5 x 5.3cm only, but on screen it is much larger.
Probably because of the high DPI.
Vainly searched how to print this using the actual size.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

How to search in all subfolders?
Browser, at the top folder is set, for example: X:\Photos
In the search box some regex term.
It will show the photos according to the regex but only in \Photos
How to have XnViewMP (1.6.4) search thru all the sub folders as well?

Batch adding date to photo - just to say : thanks!
I regularly want to add date-time to a photo, or screenshot. When only a few photos/screenshots, I create in Snagit and then add the date-time manually (add a text box, with the date time). One by one. Now I had a series of 40 photos, so I went on to search for tools that could do that. From one sit...

Re: List of ALL shortcuts?
Ah! Right, thanks a lot. Yes, indeed, it would be nice to configure these default F-keys. In my case ..., in browser mode, in case of image files, except for PSD, all image files are associated with XnViewMP. Hence just double click or hit [Enter] does the same as F3: it launches XnViewMP, i.e. I co...

List of ALL shortcuts?
Am trying to assign a function to F3 It is already taken. However, I can't find by what/where. F3 is not listed in settings > shortcuts. SnagIt-18122023 092835.png Any suggestions? When I hit F3 within XnViewMP the screen flashes, but nothing seems to happen, that is to say, I do not see anything ha...

Shortcut for changing modified date of NON-EXIF files?
In case of (for instance) scanned image files, or downloaded image files, I now need to switch form XnViewMP to a Windows Explorer replacement and do a change modified date there (action: F3, enter new date, save)
Just curious to know, would there a way to do this within XnViewMP?

XnViewMP installed versions-confusion
Coincidentally I noticed 2x XnViewMP in the "Program and Features" list. v1.5.5 and v.1.6.1 also noticed that the date of the XnViewMP.exe (on HDD) differs from the 'installed' version as per Program and Features list. But the date from properties seems to be correct. So: - XnViewMP in Windows progr...

Re: Minor tip only-Requires elevation when launching immy after setup
It is no problem, just reporting. Likely it has something to do with the Security settings.
R-click desktop icon - Properties - tab Security.
XnViewMP is different from others.
Don't know why, I am not an expert.

Minor tip only-Requires elevation when launching immy after setup
Very small thing/tip only...
when selecting run XnViewMP (v1.5.5) it requires elevation.
click [OK] and launch from the desktop - things are okay.
As said, small thing, just reporting.

Re: Rotate buttons - greyed out - how come?
Sorry to say, I hardly use the browser, to be honest.
I use the viewer: double click a file, either in Opus or in Everything (Voidtools), then go to color corrections, whatever.
No offense meant! The browser is fine, I am sure, but, as said, i hardly use it.

Re: Help on Catalog and thumbnail caching - privacy
should I enable thumbnail caching, or not? if not, what is the effect with regards to the speed of XnViewMP? (Does it matter?) Personally, I always disable thumbnail caching, in every program and OS, so it wont take up space (and, on SSD/flash memory, to avoid frequent instances of writing to it), ...

Re: Rotate buttons - greyed out - how come?
Okay thanks. No problem. Will use Directory Opus to rotate those images.
BTW: I can open the XnViewMP browser, rotate there (seems okay in the browser), double click the file, to get back into the viewer and click on save. Can't find a save button in the browser.
