Sorting on date - bug(?)
Within a folder files are sorted on date. When double clicking an image, it will launch XnViewMP. Then, when clicking on 'Next' it will display another file than expected, I would expect the one on screen. Probably because the default sort order is based on filename(?) It would be nice if XnViewMP w...

Re: Compare open files from "Viewer Mode"
Sad news...
XnView has something that is not possible in XnViewMP
Whereas I assumed XnViewMP is the more 'advanced' version of XnView.

Add Windows to the menubar
Suggestion:
Add Windows to the menu bar, so, when double clicking multiple files using Explorer, they can be viewed side by side.
(like within XnView Classic...)
XnView Classic
Thanks.

Compare open files from "Viewer Mode"
I'd like to select and open files from Windows Explorer. Then compare them side by side (same is in Browser Mode). Suggestion: add Shift-C Compare to Viewer Mode. Thanks. == (the next day) Discovered that this has been on the list of 'Differences' (XnView<>XnViewMP) for already quite a while. Matter...

Thanks a lot!
Sadly this isn't available in the Viewer Mode
like compare open files or so.
Meanwhile posted this in the Suggestion section.
Anyway, thanks again.

Display images side-by-side
Up front, I am sorry, most probably I am overlooking a feature. I vainly searched for it. Say, I am running Explorer, have images in thumbnail view. I select two almost identical images and context menu select "Open with...'> XnViewMP (or hit Enter) XnViewMP is launched with two tabs. Then I would n...

Re: After corrections - how to auto-rename saved file
Maybe add this as a new feature? Just click on Save button and when the file already exists, then add _1.
It is faster than the save as action.
Just a suggestion.

After corrections - how to auto-rename saved file
When performing corrections/adjustments, when clicking on the 'save' button, XnViewMP will overwrite the original by default. Q: Is there a way that the file then be saved as a new file, adding e.g. _1 to the file name. In case such file exists, then _2, etc. Automatically..., i.e. not having to per...

Re: How to add a customer filter to only show JPG and PNG files
As this 'idea' is somewhere in some thread under "General Support", it -may- not be recorded as a suggestion.
So, for good order's sake, I have also posted it in the 'Suggestions'-section as well.

Add custom filter from existing view
I would like to suggest to make it possible to save an existing view/filter as a user defined filter Something like: SnagIt-25072020 101007.png - Note: this refers to a separate thread titled: "How to add a customer filter to only show JPG and PNG files" https://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=...

Thank you for the tip!

In this case though, within XnViewMP, I believe it might be handy to be able to simply save a current view/filter.

Or maybe allow a Quick Search setting to be saved as custom filter or so?
