Re: Add column Total Pixels

Very sorry for the delay, some other things came in between. You are very right indeed! Thanks for the tip. Really appreciated. The thing in my case is that I would like to sort on number of pixels, so I can delete files below (e.g.) 300,000 or 250,000 total pixels. You are right, when sorting on si...

Re: How to filter images with specific dimensions?

Yes indeed, that is the idea. If I have images of a certain total number of pixels (e.g. all above 250.000) and they show up with decent sizes on my 2560x1440 monitor (let's say around 14-15cm wide or so) then I know that they will show up even with slightly bigger dimensions on monitors with lesser...

Add column Total Pixels

Title: How to filter images with specific dimensions?

Suggestion to add a column 'Total Pixels' so one can sort on that.
(being different from sorting on W-pixels or H-pixels)

Re: How to filter images with specific dimensions?

See attachment, this would be the idea. Hopefully in some next release...

Have submitted this as an idea in the 'Suggestions' section.

Re: How to filter images with specific dimensions?

I took me a while to find a workaround... I am talking about the pixels W multiplied by pixels H For instance, an image has W 640 pixels H 400 = total pixels 256000 I have a large number of downloaded images want to get rid of 'small' images. Found out that images of roughly 300.000 pixels in total ...

Re: Images with zero dpi in XnViewMP but 96dpi in Explorer

Okay.
However, please note that out of a list of 3600 images, XnViewMP shows 1540 with 0 DPI
Within Explorer only 10 images have 0 dpi.

Big difference, just wanted to inform you about it.

Re: Calculate total number of pixels

Thanks. I've looked all over Internet, checked out quite a number of imageviewers (within VM) - but haven't found any image viewer that offers a column with with 'Total Pixels'. I have another thread about how I can filter/select and then batch delete images that are below a specific size, because t...

Re: How to filter images with specific dimensions?

Important is the image on screen.
(The physical, printed, size, I don't care)

my monitor 2560x1440 (27")

I assume, when an image is, let's say 10cm wide on above 27"monitor, it probably will be displayed larger on a 1920x1080 monitor..?
maybe, 15cm or something.

Images with zero dpi in XnViewMP but 96dpi in Explorer

It strikes me that XnViewMP shows '0' in the dpi column (many files) but when I check the dpi within Explorer it is 96,

see below

Any idea why ?

Thanks

Calculate total number of pixels

I have been trying to find out myself and got lost on Internet reading about DPI and PPI and resolution and whatever Would it be possible to add a column showing total size in pixels ? Is that just W x H (e.g. 512 x 650) = 332800? Or does it depend on screen resolution? Sorting on total pixels I cou...

Re: How to filter images with specific dimensions?

To be honest, I would not know -where- else to ask such a complicated question. Point is that the size on screen does not correspond with the physical size, so, the physical size is of no use. Likely the screenresolution has something to do with it(??) Probably (I don't know for sure) a low-res 19" ...

Re: Open en close XnViewMP

Yes, that is the idea. Again, it is my mistake.. but it would be nice if XnViewMP ask whether I want to close, then I click on 'No' or hit 'Esc' so I can continiue with XnViewMP, instead of having to re-launch again.

Re: Open en close XnViewMP

I tried this a few times. No luck.
Getting the pop window, but no matter what I click/select, XnViewMP closes anyway, my idea is to keep it running.
