I am now running XnView MP 1.8.2 installed via .DEB in Linux Mint 21.3 and I do not have JXL working. Did you need to configure anything?

Re: JPEG XL for Linux

I see this did not make it into 1.8.0. I do hope support is still planned.

JPEG XL for Linux

Pardon me if this topic is redundant as "XL" is too short to search for.

Is there a plan to add support for JPEG XL under Linux?

Re: Unsupported *.raf images

This is also a problem for me in XNView Classic 2.50. Fujifilm compressed RAF files from an X-H1 display as black, unless I use only Embedded Thumbnail. Uncompressed Bayer RAF files display fully.

Commands from within quick slide show

From within the quick slide show (context menu "Start Slideshow" or "Start Slideshow (recurse)") I want to be able to do something such as copy to folder or set as wallpaper for a particular image but I cannot figure out how to do it. If I pause the slide show with Space I cannot bring up the ...

Fast switching ICC support

As is indicated in the dialog, ICC support is "very slow" for large images.

Is there a way to quickly turn it on and off, as with a toolbar button or keyboard shortcut?

Is there a way to make ICC rendering delayed along with the "Use delayed high quality" option?

Re: Crash on JP2 read

I am using Xjp2.dll plugin.

Using v1.98 beta 2 (unstable) it does not crash! :D

Is this beta safe to use? Could it corrupt files?

Re: Crash on JP2 read

I upgraded to the latest version of XnView (1.97.8) today, and I still get a crash on my test file, while using Xjp2.dll.

Yes, I understand that now. I will try to be more certain before I report another bug.

Re: zoom changes aspect ratio

I couldn't imagine this distortion was a feature, so I assumed it was a bug. Oops.

zoom changes aspect ratio

I wish to report a bug I found: a particular image's aspect ratio changes when I zoom in or out. That is, the picture becomes distorted, stretched vertically.

Re: View selected images

marsh, "Open" works quite well. Thanks! I had tried "Open All Selected" before but I don't like that as well.

Is there a setting that will cause it to open full screen? I have XnView set so that both double-click and Enter open in full screen, but when I right-click and choose Open I get the Tab ...
