I updated to the latest version ( XnView 2.51.2 for Windows ).
I also purchased Microsoft's HEVC extension.
Now XnView can (at least) display the thumbnail - but it cannot open the file ...

Re: HEIC/HEIF Plugin doesnt work under 2.49.4
Hi there,
I found that my companiion's iPad takes .HEIC fotos now.
I upgraded XnView to 2.49.5 but still these files are not recognized as pictures.
Oddly XnView shows the embedded thumbnails, but cannot open or display these files. XnView opens these files in the windows foto app :(

How to decrease the size of generated PDF files?
Hello,
I need to convert multiple (1-4) TIFs into one PDF file.
I thought nconvert were the best tool for that task, but found the resulting PDFs are humongous.

Re: 1.98.2 "Problem with JPEG"
hum, it's not the same problem. It's a memory problem i think. Which size of pictures do you use, and which collage?
I made a canvas about 10,000 x 7,000 pixels and started copy/pasting parts of other pictures in it.
I planned to shrink the canvas in the end to a manageable size, but XnView ...

right, the problem is with big XMP data...
And how can this be resolved?
I have problems with large pictures, too.

Re: Complete List of Command Line Options?
No answer from the developers is disappointing.
I still love the tool, but I'm in need of a command line that would start xnview automatically in capture mode with
- multiple captures option
- include cursor
- dest. dir
- screenshot filenames with date-time tag

Re: Complete List of Command Line Options?
Is "Command line help" dialog in XnView what you are looking for? You open it using menu "Info > Command line help".
Not quite. It does show the options (e.g. "-capture") but not the available parameters (e.g. "=desktop,d:\screenshot_$.ext") and their meaning.

But I cannot find a complete list of command line options.
Unfortunately a xnview.exe -? (or -help or /? or /help ) is not implemented.

Wanted: GPS Support
Hello there,
no need to say that I love XnView. I use this tool a lot (and already made a donation  )
I'm experimenting with embedded GPS data in the EXIF data right now. Adding the GPS data works well (with other tools) but there is no support in XnView.
Now, what I really love to see is ...
