Re: "EXIF: Date Taken" in labels for fullsceen display of WEBP photos?

In the meantime I have used the EXIF/XMP tool from Google play store to inspect my webp photos (taken by the Open Camera app): They didn't contain any EXIF metadata and only XMP "descriptions! (Storing EXIF data has been activated in Open Camera).

Re: "EXIF: Date Taken" in labels for fullsceen display of WEBP photos?

Thank you for the hint.

But XMP:DateCreated doesn't display the real creation date of the photo, but ony the creation date of the photo file.

All these effects occur on the Linux Mint 22 platform and don't occur on Mint 21.3.

Re: After a "metadata->edit IPTC" on a webp photo the "write" button is disabled/greyed out

Many thanks.

Please remember that forcing a "write" oeration by "alt w" seems to work only in the english language version of XnViewMP. Is this true also if the "write" button is clicked instead?

Also remember that the XMP comment is displayed on the photo in fullscreen mode only if in every new ...

After a "metadata->edit IPTC" on a webp photo the "write" button is disabled/greyed out

XnViewMP 1.8.2 on Linux Mint 22:

After a "metadata->edit IPTC" on a webp photo the change cannot be saved since the "write" button is disabled/greyed out.

After a "metadata->edit XMP" on a webp photo the change can be saved only by pressing "alt w" since the write button isn't vsible: The bottom ...

Re: Fullscreen mode: Sometimes photo size isn't adapted to screen size

If I specify "fit to window" for normal and fullscreen mode then this takes effect only in normal mode but not in fullscreen mode.

This setting is persistent within the same xnview session only for normal mode. If I re-open the fullscreen mode settings then the defaut "Last used" is displayed ...

Re: Fullscreen mode: Sometimes photo size isn't adapted to screen size

Thank you, but of course I have tried all these possible settings for the displayed image size in fullscreen mode, without success.

Re: Fullscreen mode: Sometimes photo size isn't adapted to screen size

In the photo properties XnViewMP displays a resolution of 1280x960.

I have further albums taken with my former Canon Powershot A40 camera that had a resolution of 1600x1200. All these photos are too small in fullscreen mode although it would surely be possible to enlarge them to screen size. Why ...

Re: Fullscreen mode: Sometimes photo size isn't adapted to screen size

In the meantime I have detected that the photos that aren't enlarged to the screen size in fullscreen mode have been taken with my Nokia N900 mobile phone of that time, while all other photos in this album/folder have been taken with my then-Fuji digital camera (because I had forgotten to insert the ...

Re: Fullscreen mode: Sometimes photo size isn't adapted to screen size

In some photo albums I have cropped some photos to a smaller size. Some of these aren't enlarged in fullscreen mode to fill the screen, although I had specified in the fulllscreen settings that this should happen.

Fullscreen mode: Sometimes photo size isn't adapted to screen size

Even if I specify in the settings for the fullscreen mode that the size of all photos should be adapted to the screen size, this doesn#t happen always, but smaller photos are displayed undesirably small in most cases.

Re: Can the size of the mouse pointer be changed?

In the meantime a user of the Linux Mint forum has pointed out that some apps might have originally been written for a platform using a different window manager (e.g. KDE) and that this might be the reason for the mouse pointer problem.

In a similar case, concerning a font size in the VLC app ...
