This problem is still an issue with xnviewmp 0.64 on Ubuntu. Any idea when it is solved?

Hi,

I have newly setup my system using Ubuntu 14.04, 64-Bit with xnviewmp 0.68. Since video files are not played in the preview window any more. Video files are played in totem if there doubleclicked in the filebrowser of Ubuntu.

xnviewmp 0.68 was working fine with videos with Ubuntu 12.04, 32-bit ...

My interst was not write the complete file only to save the metadata and have the full conrol about it: which data from database and where to write XMP, IPTC4XMP or sidecar files and when it will be written.

thank you for the hint with colored labels. I am using Ubuntu and XnViewMP 0.6 and the the short cuts for the colored labels are working fine, even Strg+Shift+0 for "uncoloring" :D

Extending and customizing the color labels sounds a good idea as they are already implemented. But the described hot key functionality should be added for the first 3 … 5 color labels. I really would appreciate that.

the problem is still present using XnViewMp 0.60. Any plans to resolve that issue?

Coming from gthumb I just tested XnViewMP 0.6 as a more powerful and feature rich alternative. But I am missing the special selection feature which is working like this:

Pressing Alt + n (n = 1, 2, 3, ...) and selected image is added to the special selection n
Pressing Alt + Shift + n and the ...

Is there a feature aivailable (or planned) for easy removing red eyes (using XnViewMp 0.60)?

I do some tests with XnViewMp 0.60 replacing Fotoxx on my Linux Desktop PC.

I am missing 2 parameters for the a horizontal and vertical offset for the grid lines to better adjust the grid to image. May be you can implement this.

I changed the suggested option from "never" to "on exit" and probleme was solved ...

xnview mp behaves normal for newly tagged pictures. I can check and uncheck them. Dependinding on the state of the checkbox they are in the tag selection or not.

But 6 pictures which are not tagged (the checkbox in the upper left corner is uncecked) always appear in the tag selection ...

any news? Is there any work around or do I have to delete the database to reset all to solve my problem?
