I wanted to try the Linux version, but I'm getting this error: I extracted the archive to /bin and the file libQtGui.so.4 is present there. What did I wrong?

I'm just interested, will it mean that future versions of XnView might become GPL (opensource)? Because AFAIK unless you buy the very expensive Qt commercial license, you can't use it in a closed source program.

Just to report - I tried the Windows version through Wine and it runs fine.

The problem is, that I can't drop file(s) onto a category. If I create one, I can't rename or delete it and I can't drop files there. I can drop files to rating and labels, but then again nothing happens.

You might want to have a look at this movie (flash, 7-zip compressed). It shows how it works ...

Of course I tried that, but nothing happens.

I'd like to ask you, what's the new categories pane good for. I tried for hours to find out how to use it, but I couldn't find any solution. Could somebody give me any help? I'm quite advanced PC user, but I'm somehow stuck with this feature.

Thank you for the histogram/levels feature added in 1.82.2. But I have some more requests for it's functionality. Would it be possible to add a gray point slider, like you can find in GIMP for example?
