XnView Software

I am on WIndows XP SP3 with 1.97.2
I was trying Tools-Slideshow and did manage to create video.
Then I tried some of the video formats and suddenly I could not create any video.
When I click the browse icon alongside filename a Save As comes up but there is no "Save As type"
And so "nothing" can be ...

Looks like Irfanview has something like it ... But I do like XnView browser and other functions ...

I am a new user and XnView sure looks good.
For Add Text I am thinking in particular of IPTC Caption etc descriptions - I would like to add those and have the text wrap to width of image - at moment it gets truncated.
