I can suggest the use of variables depending of user-choose language??...
for example...
#NEXT_LABEL#=> if Fracais: Suivante
if Spanish: Siguiente
if English: Next
don't know more languages :)
#PREVIOUS_LABEL# => Précédente, Anterior, Previous
#THUMBNAILS_LABEL# => Vignettes, Miniaturas ...
