Just like ACDSee. I agree, the file should be selected. And sort order for browser and viewer should be unified.

A few big wishes:
1. Cataloging of off line CD's, DVDs, etc. so you can browse the thumbs and data info with out the CD in the drawer

This also happens on Linux version.
1- I open browser.
2- I select some picture and open it (open View mode for it). This is "fast".
3- I press Space, PageDown, PageUp or click on Next/Previous button. XnView (both browser and viewer) is frozen for some seconds. After some time, everything works ...

Is it possible to XnView read an image from "standard input" (stdin)?

I thought about a good workaround to "screen capturing" problem, but I will need XnView reading from standard input. My idea is simple. just run this on terminal:

$ sleep 2; xwd | xnview -

Where '-' would mean "read from ...

- if I change the selection (4.) to "[x] Select a Window", then I can select a window out of the List. When I click on "Apply" it seems, that XnView takes a picture but after one second XnView disappears without any message (crash?)
