Re: Toggle Show all Files
and by clicking on the filter icon? Sorry for the late reply. I think it's clever how just clicking the filter icon works so it goes right back to your custom filter, but I'd still love to have a true keyboard shortcut if possible. Thanks for pointing that out though. Still faster than what I was d...

Toggle Show all Files
Is there a quicker way to show all files than to use the dropdown filter? I've looked through the shortcuts, but saw nothing that would help. I just want a quick way to make sure there are not any stray files I might miss when deleting a directory because of the custom filter I use for normal browsi...

Re: Changed DE - Can no longer launch File Manager
I am fully up to date, so it would be the same version as you. If everything is working for you, then it must be my system. I moved from XFCE to KDE, so there is probably some issue from changing DEs and not installing fresh from scratch. Thank you very much for installing my system to test it out! ...

Re: Changed DE - Can no longer launch File Manager
While troubleshooting this other issue , I downloaded the latest tgz for troubleshooting and tried it for this issue as well. Version 1.4.2 64bits (Jan 26 2023) Libformat version 7.136 There is no difference at all. Neither will launch my file manager. /usr/bin/dolphin: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib...

Re: Freezes when accessing NFS share
While continuing to troubleshoot I discovered the reason for the failure, but not the reason why yet. I recently powered down one of my NFS shares as I don't need it any longer, but if I power it back up I can access it fine along with the other NFS share I wasn't able to access. My guess is it's so...

Re: Changed DE - Can no longer launch File Manager
Latest version us Qt 5.15.12 and not QT 5.15.8 That's odd. Arch is a rolling release and is considered bleeding edge. I can't imagine many releases have a more current version than Arch. According to their software page for qt, there are only 2 packages at the .12 level. https://archlinux.org/group...

Re: Changed DE - Can no longer launch File Manager
Sorry I haven't had time to do this earlier. Could you please be more specific on what you need me to do? The only reference I could find was here , and following their instruction to set the variable to a "non-zero" value did nothing. $ QT_DEBUG_PLUGINS=1 $ echo $QT_DEBUG_PLUGINS 1 The error is the...

Changed DE - Can no longer launch File Manager
Hi, Just switched from XFCE to KDE-Plasma. After switching I've updated the mime db to reflect dolphin as the file manager, and it does seem to try to open it, but fails with these errors. (The dolphin icon bounces then stops) ** start condition wait qt5ct: using qt5ct plugin kf.windowsystem: Could ...

Configure Programs - Launch to foreground
When using XNViewMP on my home Linux machine and I launch one of my editors that is configured using the Configure Programs, it will bring that program to the foreground which would be the expected behavior. When launching an editor at work using Windows 10, it just loads the image into my editor, b...

Re: Backspace and Delete no longer work for text editing
I'm on Arch Linux so I have much newer packages and libraries than Ubuntu. I'm guess something changed in QT? I've had to go back to using the dialog window for renaming which is so many more steps and is really frustrating. Renaming in the dialog takes three Tabs to reach the OK button. (Or Alt+o w...

Re: Backspace and Delete no longer work for text editing
It appears to be platform dependent. I tried at work today on a Windows computer and it worked fine. It also works fine when using dialog to rename. It only has issues when directly renaming something in browser mode or tree. If you try to rename in viewer mode it uses the dialog anyway, so that's n...
