Re: BUG: Can't set file type associations in XnView...
but it is a big hassle to have to manually set associations in windows settings. can you fix it to make the xnview association options work in win11, to be more convenient? normally, i want to simply click the "the most used" button option.
It's no more possible

Re: Integration as default Photo application in Windows 10
Question arises here.
Windows 10 file assocaition screen tells you a generic term as "photos" but then how can we change individual extentions for different image types?
Eg: Open jpg files with XnView but open png files with another app. How can this be possible?
Edit: Found out.

Re: Error opening file <path> if path contains Turkish chars
The answer is to use XnView MP which has full Unicode support; whether foreign characters display correctly or not in XnView Classic depends on the locale set on the computer used.
Please see this earlier post.
Hi cday,
I already know this setting and have done this setting already. I also ...

Re: Error opening file <path> if path contains Turkish chars
Any thoughts about the issue I've mentioned above?
It is present with XnView Classic + Windows 11 environment when displaying non-English filenames within the program. File are opened OK, just displaying (char encoding) is wrong and garbled.

Re: Change of DPI (Set DPI vs. Resize)
It is a bit confusing.
When you use Resize feature alone, the size in pixels is changing fine. But on the other hand, the original DPI of image remains unchanged which affects how big the image is displayed on screen, that misleads about the real size.

Re: Less vivid colors are displayed and a different 100% zoom level than Microsoft Photos
From what I understand, setting view zoom level to %100 is NOT enough. We also need to set X, Y values of DPI to 100 of the specific image for both to get the real size either on screen (meausured with real ruler) or when printed.

only XnViewMP has unicode support
Is it so much effort to add the support to regular version?

For example, unicode is not possible without rewriting all code, text as language files too, ...

Hi, sorry for bumping very old thread, but I had similar problem on Windows 11 (English) when opening files having Turkish chars. Admitted, i'm using quite old version of XnView, however printing is a feature which has been here for ages. So, i'm suspicous that seems to be a fixed bug in new versions.

Command line (non-interactive) documentation?
Hi guys,
I can't seem to find a bried command-line documentation either of XnConvert or XnView. I just want to create a batch file (then will integrate to Explorer's context menu) to convert files with desired arguments with single click.
Where's the documentation?
Thanks!
