Re: 0.53: The width of the foldername field
Let us see:
You see this:
Address Bar - Small.jpg
...and Pierre sees this:
Address Bar - Large.jpg
Isn't it? :D
...and this is because, as you tried to explain here , it depends on how XnViewMP is started .
I can reproduce this in 100% from cases, just be sure to have the path long ...

Re: 0.53: The width of the foldername field
would it not occur to any of you that the texfield content plays a major role here...
none of the screenshots shows a usability issue (path cropped).
I don't see no problems.
The pathfield does not expand to fit a bigger path, at least, it never did expand in all my tests.
The issue is wasted ...

Re: 0.53: The width of the foldername field
I don't have access anymore to my Windows 7 machine, got a notebook here from my sister, vanilla Windows 8.1. Grabbed a copy of 0.61 x64 and the problem still pops up to me:

It's really an odd issue.

Re: XnViewMP stops operating while taking web-capture
That's a really, really long page. Just doing a quick math, it would result in an image over 40000 pixels tall.
Tried here and it will hang a few seconds in.
Saving the page locally and trying to pass it to XnViewMP (i.e "file:///D:\TEST.html") will also cause it to hang.

Re: 0.53: The width of the foldername field
Odd. :?
Ran a few more tests and this caught my eye:
On Windows, if I run the xnview.exe file 'directly' or use the context menu (shell integration "PATHTO\XnViewMP\xnview.exe "%1"" or custom method like "PATHTO\XnViewMP\xnview.exe "%V"" - see EDIT > http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f ...

Re: 0.53: The width of the foldername field
Windows 7 64bit here, same behavior with the 0.61 version. Tried fresh settings + customized layout for screenshot purposes (nothing carried over from the old versions), running with the Wizard default settings doesn't make any difference.

0.61: Sort by Extension inconsistency
Unlike Linux (and Mac?), Windows does not discern from lowercase\UPPERCASE and since it doesn't really impact the system usage in any way, it's pretty negligent regarding the extension case (some applications will only create files with lowercase extensions, others, like the Snipping Tool will use ...

Re: Custom context menu entry
Update:
Instead of using .\ a simple . will give the same effect!
Seems like that backslash was never needed in the first place >:(
EDIT:
Wow, so long ago!
Update - Using the same method, but with this command instead:
PATHTO\XnViewMP\xnview.exe "%V"

Custom context menu entry
Currently using the newest XnViewMP x64 build (as of 05/23/2011), OS: Windows 7 64.
After some thinking, I found a way to add XnView 1.98.0.0 to the context menu that appears after clicking in the empty space of a folder\desktop (the View, Sort by, Refresh... etc menu).
